On le présente comme le Gainsbourg black. C’est vrai que les ambiances des clips, des textes et même du flow de Mihuma font un peu penser à l’homme à la tête de chou. J’avoue ne pas être très fan de l’appellation « black trucmuche », gênée par l’absence de « White 50 Cent » quand on parle d’un Mc de type caucasien. Bref, je préfère fermer les yeux et écouter l’artiste. Un peu rock, un peu rauque, Mihuma m’a emporté dans ses volutes de fumée et ses délires de noceurs. J’aime les écorchés vifs. Donc Mihuma, je t’aime !
Quand on m’a parlé de Mihuma, je me suis d’abord dit : enfin un rappeur qui n’a pas un jeu de mots moisi dans son nom de scène ! Mihuma, c’est doux mais c’est aussi intrigant. Puis je me suis rappelée que j’avais déjà lu ce nom quelque part. Merci internet, j’ai vite trouvé : au sein du label Black Stamp Music, il faisait partie du casting de luxe de l’excellent album Music’All, que je vous conseille de réécouter car très injustement passé à la trappe, dans lequel on pouvait trouver Oxmo Puccino, Busta Flex, Casey, Sir Samuel…
Donc, ce slameur se lance enfin en solo. Son nouvel album s’appelle La Lettre Ecarlate (tout un programme !) et sort le 18 avril. Ce jeune trentenaire parisien, adepte de poésies sombres et de virées musicales nocturnes, dit s’abreuver de mots comme d’autres s’abreuvent de sang. On l’entend dans ses textes, cet homme est un grand amoureux de la chanson française mais il vogue aux frontières du rap et du rock indé. Sa grande expérience de la scène (on a pu le voir bruler les planches du Trabendo, du Duc des Lombards, La Villette…) lui a offert une grande aisance, comme on peut le voir sur La Vie en Face !

Auteur-compositeur-interprète autodidacte, il a fait ses classes aux côtés d’artistes confirmés tels qu’Oxmo Puccino, Féfé, Casey… Sa rencontre avec le réalisateur Mitch Olivier (Alain Bashung, Dax Riders, les Rita Mitsouko…) séduit par son univers, a fait le reste. J’attends donc avec impatience ce nouvel opus et, en attendant, j’avoue que je me passe un peu en boucle le clip de son titre en rouge et noir, Crimes et Sentiments.
